About Us

SOS Evaluation & Training was set up in 2009 by Clayton Anderson, an experienced and passionate individual with a depth of knowledge around outcomes identification and measurement, social impact, training and evaluation.

He worked for The Research Centre, City College Norwich for 4 ½ years on The SOUL Record; a Big Lottery funded project to measure soft outcomes. Clayton took The SOUL Record from a locally based research project to a product of national significance with it being used by over 800 clients across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Clayton has spoken at Children and Young People Now organised conferences in 2008 & 2009 in London and Birmingham to around 600 delegates on the subject of measuring outcomes for Children’s Services. 92% of delegates agreed that Clayton's speech was “excellent” and “highly informative”. Clayton has also presented on behalf of the regional branch of the Big Lottery Fund at a Funding East event, alongside and by invitation of Sarah Mistry (Head of Research and Learning at the Big Lottery Fund) at the Voluntary Sector Studies Network and has ran numerous workshops at conferences and events across the country including a Barnardos hosted conference in 2007.

Clayton is a fully certified Charities Evaluation Services ‘Outcome’s Champion’ and has a keen interest in the current developments around Social Return on Investment (SROI).

To fulfill SOS Evaluation & Trainings commitments to our clients, we work with a range of associate trainers and consultants. Our key associates will be listed here shortly.
